Sheryl L. Bishop
Sheryl L. Bishop PhD has been a member of the University of Texas Medical Branch’s Schools of Nursing, Medicine, Health Sciences and Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences since 1992. As a Social Psychologist and Professor she currently serves as full graduate faculty for the School of Nursing Doctoral Program as well as Senior Biostatistician for the School of Nursing. Externally, since 1996, Dr. Bishop has served as lecturer, faculty and co-chair for the Master’s program and summer Space Studies Program for the International Space University, Strasbourg, France. As an internationally recognized behavioral researcher in extreme environments, for the last 25 years Dr. Bishop has investigated human performance and group dynamics in teams in extreme, unusual environments, involving deep cavers, mountain climbers, desert survival groups, polar expeditioners, Antarctic winter-over groups and various simulations of isolated, confined environments for space, including a number of missions at remote habitats (e.g., Mars Desert Research Station, Utah, and FMARS and the Mars Project on Devon Island, Canada). She is frequently sought out as a content expert by various media and has participated in several television documentaries on space and extreme environments by Discovery Channel, BBC and 60 Minutes.

Director of several documentaries a.o. ”The Average Of The Average”, 3D doc, worldpremiere at CPH:DOX 2011), ”Into Eternity” (2010) and ‘To Damascus – a Film on Interpretation’ (2005) and founder and artistic leader of the Sound/Gallery, a 900 square meter sound diffusion system underneath the Town Hall Square in Copenhagen, Denmark (1996-2001). Selected art projects include: ‘Audience (van Gogh#7)’, design of SPOR 2007, festival for new music and sound art; and ‘Public Service (van Gogh#6)’ Phase 1: Idea and concept for a new music library in Odense, Denmark.

Cecilia Valdsted, transmedia producer
Since 2004, Cecilia Valsted have been working with documentary filmmaking at MAGIC HOUR FILMS and has been involved in more than 20 titles, a.o the Oscar Nominated BURMA VJ (2008) and Into Eternity (2010) as assistant producer. She graduated as EAVE producer in 2009, studied Film and Media Sociology at the University of Copenhagen. She is co-founder of the production company VALSTEDBRASK and is also one of the leading persons behind a digital distribution project INDIEFRAME scheduled to be released ultimo 2013.
